Local legends The Fire Apes will make the group's second appearance this year at Cumberland's on Friday night. The Fire Apes have been rather reclusive since the group wowed the Charleston music scene a few years ago.

The group's breezy, Brit-pop swagger, complimented with infectious melodies and intelligent lyrics, shot The Apes to local stardom in the early '90s. The elusive band stepped out of the local spotlight for a few years later the same decade.
